Summary
We have two talks this month. The first is from Simon Hobson, who will be giving a brief introduction to Asterisk and TrixBox (a quick install telephony appliance project utilising Asterisk and a number of other packages).
Simon will also cover a bit about VoIP in general, the SIP protocol, and demo a couple of SIP handsets.
Jonathan Davis will be giving the second talk, on the GeeXboX Open Source Linux Media Center, which should make an interesting contrast with the recent MythTV presentation. There is an introduction to GeeXboX here: http://geexbox.org/en/start.html
