Making Notes

Summary

• Do you ever forget to do things (sending in the content of your ManLUG talk for example)?
• Do you need somewhere to record your manpage examples?
• Can't remember where you put the the file about using xauth?

Then maybe you need to keep some notes, and this presentation will suggest how. Looking at simple text databases for structured data (book lists, recipes ...), mind mapping for organising ideas, outliners for free form data, simple wikis and, of course, emacs for everything ;-) .  Or maybe you just put your notes in a file somewhere on a disk and then index to allow fast searching; personal file indexing will be considered too.
