Linux Networks in the home

Matthew John Palmer

Summary

Many households these days have more than one computer, often duplicating resources such as printers and modems, and requiring file sharing via floppy disks. This talk will attempt to show you how to manage your resources better, by networking the computers together. It will cover the physical requirements (cabling, hubs, etc) and the software configuration required for both Linux and Windows. File and print sharing will be discussed, as well as shared access to the Internet.
